Walla Walla Valley Medical Society exists to promote the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health, to improve the education of its members, and to unite with other County Medical Societies in the State of Washington, that compose the Washington State Medical Association.
The Walla Walla Valley Medical Society (WWVMS) sponsors monthly dinner meetings with informative guest speakers that cover a variety of topics. In addition, the Washington State Medical Association (WSMA) offers a wide array of programs and services that help improve the practice of medicine in Washington State.
Association with WWVMS gives members a voice in the legislative policy making process and the ability to affect change in Olympia and Washington, D.C. WWVMS members are informed of proposed health care legislation and how it will affect their practice of medicine. They are also represented by an effect lobby through WSMA.
Throughout the year the WSMA provides practice support educational seminars on topics such as coding, collections and employee satisfaction. Members are also provided valuable continuing education and leadership training.
